SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Cricut® machine
- Iron-on vinyl
- 1 mat, size depending on how large you want the final pillow
- Download the images into your Cricut machine from Design Space
- Iron & pressing surface
- Parchment paper
- 1yd of cotton fabric for each pillow
- 1 bag of fiberfill for stuffing
- Sewing machine
- Thread
- Scissors
DIRECTIONS:
- Download the templates of your choice from Design Space.
- Make sure you make the image cut-out large enough to make a pillow.
- If using different colors, you can make the images larger where there is a color change or use a larger mat.
- Cut out your image onto your iron-on vinyl.
- Iron the image onto your cotton fabric.
- Lay the cotton fabric with the image on top of another piece of cotton fabric. Cut out both layers. (To create a wider pillow, cut out a 5" strip of the cotton fabric the circumference of the pillow. Sew the side seam (5" strip) onto the bottom piece of fabric, right sides together.)
- Sew the top side onto the bottom and side seamed piece, right sides together, leaving a 4" opening for stuffing.
- Stuff the pillow and sew the seam shut.
Craft Hack Tips and Tricks:
- When sewing the front and back to the side seams use your scissors to snip the curves on the inside of the pillow so that it doesn't gather in the corners.
