SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Glass vases
  • Wire cutters
  • Floral netting
  • Floral tape
  • Cream baby's breath
  • Poppy stem white & yellow, 1
  • Cream thistle
  • Dogwood picks, 2
  • Eucalyptus stem green, 1
  • Peony stem, 1
  • Millet 34" stem white, 1
  • 130" daisy stem white, 1
  • White daily bush, 1

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Use the wire cutters to cut a small square of floral netting to fit over the opening of the vases. Insert the floral through the holes in the netting. The netting will hold the floral stems in place.
  2. When using the thistle, undo the manufacturer's tape to get multiple long stems to include in the arrangement.
  3. Repeat the above process for the millet stem and the daisy stem in order to have long single stems to insert into the vases.
  4. The poppy stem can be separated into three individual flower stems. Add length to the stems if necessary (see Craft Hack Tips & Tricks) and insert into the floral netting.
  5. Separate and remove the daisy bush stems from the main bush. Some of the stems do not have leaves with the floral. Some stems just have leaves. You can combine the two by removing the leaves from the stem and inserting them onto the stem with the floral. Keep the empty stem to use for shorter stems. See below under Craft Hacks Tips and Tricks.
  6. Insert the floral through the netting to create an arrangement for all the vases, except for the small necked ones that can only hold single stems. Simply cut the stems to the proper length and insert the stem into the vase. Save any leftover stems that are cut from the floral.

JOANN HACKS:

  • Tape up any stems with white showing or stems that are frayed so that they look nice through the glass vase.
  • For any stems that are too short to reach the bottom of the vase, add stem length from left over floral or greens or from stems that have been trimmed. Use the floral tape to attach the two stems.
