Tall Pot
SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
  • 4" tall x 3" wide terra cotta pot
  • Off-white acrylic paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Floral foam
  • Serrated knife
  • Hot glue gun & glue sticks
  • Moss
  • Faux succulent
  • 1/8" x 12" dowel rod
  • Cardstock: light peach, craft paper
  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • Pencil
  • White twine
  • Computer
  • Cricut® Explore Air™
  • Design Space software
  • Cricut® Midnight fine-tip marker
  • Cricut® Cutting Mat 12" x 12" Light Grip
  • Tacky glue
  • Provided templates
  • Permanent double-stick tape

DIRECTIONS:
  1. Paint terra cotta pot off-white. Allow to dry. Apply additional coats as necessary.
  2. Cut floral foam to fit inside the pot. Place floral foam in pot and hot glue in place.
  3. Hot glue moss to top of floral foam.
  4. Place faux succulent in the center of the pot. Hot glue in place.
  5. To print the patterns, click on the "Download Project PDF" button (above).
  6. Using the Cricut® Explore Air™, write sentiments and cut out flags and tags (shapes A, B, C & D) from light peach and craft paper cardstock.
  7. Trace and cut paper wrap from light peach cardstock (template 1).
  8. Wrap light peach cardstock (from previous step) around the pot ensuring it is centered. Apply permanent double stick tape to the overlapping ends and adhere in place.
  9. Wrap twine around pot. Place tag on twine and knot.
  10. Apply a dot of glue to twine on the back side of the pot/paper wrap to ensure the twine stays in place.
  11. Layer flag shapes B & C and adhere together with tacky glue.
  12. Wrap the ends of the flags around the dowel rod and adhere in place using tacky glue.
  13. Cut dowel rod to desired height and place in pot.

  6. Trace and cut paper wrap from craft paper cardstock (template 1).
  7. Wrap craft paper cardstock (from previous step) around the pot ensuring it is centered. Apply permanent double stick tape to the overlapping ends and adhere in place.
  8. Cut a piece of twine. Fold pennants in half along scored fold line. Layer pennant shapes A & B, adhere together with tacky glue. Allow to dry.
  9. Place pennants on twine approximately 1/4" apart. Adhere together on the twine with tacky glue. Allow to dry.
  10. Cut dowel rods to desired height and place in pot.
  11. Tie the ends of the twine to each dowel rod. Add a dot of tacky glue to secure. Trim ends.
  12. Layer banner shapes C & D, adhere together with tacky glue. Punch a small hole in the top center of the layered banner.
  13. Wrap ribbon around pot. Place banner on ribbon and tie a bow.
  14. Apply a dot of glue to ribbon on the back side of the pot/paper wrap to ensure the ribbon stays in place.
