SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Book Pages PDF
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Corner Rounder Punch
  • Embroidery Needle
  • Embroidery Floss
  • Binder clips (4)
  • Printer

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Download book pages from the "Get Patterns" tab above. Print pages double sided.

  2. Trim pages along the thin black line using the paper trimmer. Make sure to keep the pages in order. Clip corners using the corner rounding punch

  3. Fold pages in half. Do one page at a time for a good crease in the center.

  4. Nest pages back together and check that they are in the correct order.

  5. Open the book from the center page and clip pages with the binder clips so that the folds are lined up.

  6. Use the embroidery needle to punch 5 evenly spaced holes in the crease of the pages. When referring to the holes in the next several steps, they are numbered 1-5 from top to bottom.

  7. Thread the needle with 12 inches of embroidery thread. Working from the inside pass the needle through the center hole (#3), leaving a few inches of thread behind to tie at the end.

  8. Bring the needle and thread back up through hole 2 and then down through hole 1. The needle should now be on the outside of the book.

  9. Bring the needle back up through hole 2 and then down through hole 3. The needle should be on the outside of the book and there should be thread lines connecting holes 1-3 on the both sides of the book.

  10. Bring the needle up through hole 4 and down through 5. The needle should be on the outside of the book.

  11. Bring the needle up through hole 4 and tie off the thread with the thread from the beginning. Trim the thread.
