SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Oversized paper
  • Clear shelf liner
  • Markers
  • Sticky foam sheets (Various colors)
  • Scissors
  • Templates
  • Pencil

DIRECTIONS:

To find the downloadable templates click on the "GET PATTERNS" tab above.

PLACEMAT:
  1. Draw a large circle in the middle of your paper to represent a plate (trace a plate or circular object if needed).
  2. On each side of the plate draw the utensils (fork, knife, spoon) and any other table setting details you want. You can add decorations and embellishments to the plate and silverware.
  3. Once the paper is decorated apply a layer of clear shelf paper to both sides of the paper and trim away any excess. This will protect the paper during play.

FOAM FOOD:
  1. Use the templates to cut out the various parts of food.
  2. Remove the paper from the sticker back on the foamie and layer the pieces to construct various foods.
  3. Use the photo as inspiration on building the provided foods or create your own!

JOANN HACKS:

  • When tracing the templates onto the foam sheets, trace them on the back so that the pencil lines do not show up on the foam. To do this correctly you will need to flip the template upside down so that it is mirrored. Or you can construct your food backwards.
