It is a full sized mechanical sewing machine equipped with 22 built in stitches plus 1-step buttonhole all easily viewable on the flip up stitch chart. Janome’s world class vertical oscillating hook bobbin ensures straight, beautiful, consistent sewing on all fabric types. Convenient features like the built-in needle threader, auto-declutch bobbin winder, wide sewing area, and huge amount of accessory storage space make sewing enjoyable. The adjustable foot pressure dial allows you to easily adjust to any thickness of fabric from delicate to multiple layers with ease. Plus, the removable extension table for free arm sewing makes this machine versatile.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Please with My Machine - Have had it 2 years now. 2023 bought machine in 2021, It works great everything I expected and more. Replace my Singer for 45 years. My only complaint is that the sewing light over the needle was always very dim in my opinion and now has completely burned out. I don't see anyway in to replace the bulb.

They don’t take returns on anything with a cord. They didn’t follow through on helping me return it. Be absolutely sure you’ll keep it if you buy a sewing machine of any type.

    Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I thought this was going to be an upgrade from a previous machine that I had for YEARS. However, I'm really disappointed in Janome so far. I love the look of it and the added features but I can't even finish one pillow because the machine keeps locking up mid stitch and breaking my needle. I end up having to take the entire bobbin enclosure and hook race apart to reset it. I'm really frustrated because at this point I'll have to find another machine.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great value for beginning sewists I'm a beginning sewist and bought this machine to replace a vintage Singer that had become beyond repair. I hemmed (heh) and hawed over a mechanical machine vs a computerized one and I'm really glad I got a mechanical one. This has enough features to learn about as I teach myself more and more about sewing but it isn't over-laden with a ton of features I'll never use. It appears to be a very good all-purpose machine. I haven't had to put it to the test with thick fabric/layers yet and that is my only potential concern but I'll reserve judgement until I've given it a fair shake. The front load bobbin is kind of annoying since you do have to take apart the machine and remove the bobbin to inspect how much thread you have left but it's merely an inconvenience rather than a flaw. I think this machine will take me really far as I learn to sew and in the event I decide a serious hobby in sewing isn't for me I can be happy knowing I got a great household sewing machine for a good value!
