SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Jeans
  • Scissors
  • Fabric
  • Double-sided infusible interfacing
  • Iron & ironing board
  • Pearl Cotton embroidery floss (size 5)
  • Strong embroidery needle
  • Embroidery hoop, optional
  • Thimble, optional

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cut out your larger fabric pieces to the desired size and then apply your double-sided infusible interfacing to the back side.
  2. For your more detailed pieces, iron on your interfacing first and then cut our your pieces.
  3. Peel of the paper backing on the interfacing and use your iron to apply fabric patches to the jeans.
  4. Thread your needle and use embroidery floss to add decorative stitches on and around the borders of your patches.

JOANN HACKS:

  • Instead of pulling your needle back and forth, consider working just from the top of the fabric so that you complete a full stitch at once.
