SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Jeans
- Scissors
- Fabric
- Double-sided infusible interfacing
- Iron and ironing board
- Pearl Cotton embroidery floss (size 5)
- Strong embroidery needle
- Optional: embroidery hoop
- Optional: thimble
DIRECTIONS:
- Cut out your larger fabric pieces to the desired size and then apply your double-sided infusible interfacing to the back side.
- For your more detailed pieces, iron on your interfacing first and then cut our your pieces.
- Peel off the paper backing on the interfacing and use your iron to apply fabric patches to the jeans.
- Thread your needle with embroidery floss. Use this to add decorative stitches on and around the borders of your patches.
JOANN HACKS:
- Instead of pulling your needle back and forth, consider working just from the top of the fabric so that you complete a full stitch at once.
