You will love this ruler!
So, I bought this because I could not turn down a Joann coupon with free shipping! After I ordered it, I thought did I really need another ruler? OMG - Yes! This is an awesome ruler for quilters! It makes cutting so much easier, not just because there are slots for your rotary cutter, but because it holds the fabric down so you can trim on the right or left side of your fabric strip without moving the fabric. It is large, but I even like it for small pieces. It almost feels like you are cheating.

You Need This !
Purchased the larger ruler a while ago and use it all the time. Now I'm going to purchase this smaller one for cutting Pineapple Block strips. Just make sure to secure the ruler so it doesn't slip. I clamp mine down to table when cutting lots. It also works with more than one layer of fabric (with a sharp blade). Cannot say enough good things about this product !

I am new to quilting and very new to Quilt as You Go. I looked at this tool and wondered what will I do with it. I'm sure I will find many uses, especially when drawing lines to quilt over. Who knows what else?

Perfect for making fleece blankets!
I borrowed a shape cut from a friend to use as a guide to cut the one inch strips on a fleece blanket it worked perfectly and had to buy my own. I have now used it to square up some blocks and it worked really good for that also. Must have tool.

No more crooked cutting
I bought this because I have a terrible time cutting straight consistently because I have lost sight in one eye. I can’t seem to find the quilting rulers edge for multiple cuts. I can cut the same size strips time after time.

I’m very happy with my purchase. It makes cutting strips so much faster and easier. As for the people talking about it being flimsy, I think it has to be somewhat flexible to make this work right, not sure. I’ve found if you’re careful with it and store it flat there are no issues. The price with a coupon is fantastic compared to other brands. I love this tool!

Perfect for cutting intervals like 1", 2", 3" etc.
So glad I bought this slotted ruler. I'm using it now to make gifts of fleece scarfs for my family's Alaska trip. The Shape Cut is perfect for making the 1" interval fringe (see picture). Using the Shape Cut makes it fast and easy.

Very useful ruler!
This is the second one of this ruler I have owned (stepped on the first one by accident and broke it! My bad). I cut a LOT of fabric for charity quilts, and use this ruler all the time. I have not cut diamonds or other shapes with it but have also used it to cut bias binding strips. I can cut 6inch squares for charity quilt tops about 2x faster than using just a standard ruler and cutting mat. Great product!
