SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Cotton fabric
- Medium-weight interfacing
- 1" Key fob hardware
- Iron
- Straight pins
- Sewing machine and matching thread
DIRECTIONS:
- Cut two 2"x 6 1/2" pieces of cotton fabric.
- Cut two 2"x 6 1/2" pieces of medium-weight interfacing.
- Apply interfacing to the wrong side of the cotton fabric, following the interfacing instructions.
- Fold one short edge of one of the pieces to the wrong side 1/4" and press with an iron; repeat for the second piece.
- Place pieces right sides together, matching folded edges, and pin.
- Sew around long edges and the non-folded short edge with 1/4" seam allowance.
- Use scissors to clip the corners in the seam allowance on the sewn short edge, and trim the bulk a little in the seam allowance of the open folded edge.
- Pull right-side out.
- Topstitch across the sewn short edge about 1/4".
- Topstitch across the open, folded-in short edge (This will be mostly covered by the key fob; the corners are mainly what will show).
- Fold the sewn short edge up 2" and press with an iron. Secure with a straight pin or two and sew up both the long sides.
- Attach 1" key fob to the top short edge, following the package instructions.
