SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Pre-made kids' cotton mask
  • Assorted plaid fabric scraps
  • 1/4" ribbon
  • Jingle bells
  • Basic sewing supplies

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cut six triangles 4"x 4"x 3 1/2" from one plaid fabric. Fold under and press 1/4" on 3 1/2" side to finish the edge. To make each triangle place the right sides together and sew using 1/4" seam allowance, leaving the folded edge open. Trim point, turn right side out and press.
  2. Cut four triangles 3 1/2"x 3 1/2"x 3" from coordinating plaid fabric. Fold under and press 1/4" on the 3" side to finish the edge. To make each triangle, place right sides together and sew using 1/4" seam allowances, leaving the folded edge open. Trim point, turn right side out and press.
  3. Pin the open side of triangles to the top of the mask. Measure ribbon so that it lays on top of the triangles with 1/4" extra on each end to make finished ends. Pin ribbon, folding the ends under the end triangles. Sew in place close to edges of ribbon.
  4. Sew bells onto points of triangles to finish the mask.
