  • Bernat Blanket OGo (10.5 oz/300 g; 220 yds/201 m)
  • Milk and Honey 2 O Gos
  • Art Nouveau 2 O Gos
  • Winter Berry 2 O Gos
  • Size U.S. 11 (8 mm) circular knitting needle 29" long or size needed to obtain gauge
  • 4 long stitch holders
  • Crochet hook for fringe
  • Yarn needle

  • GAUGE: 7 sts and 13 rows = 4" in garter stitch.

  • MEASUREMENT: Approx 50" square, excluding fringe.

NOTES: To begin working with the O’Go format, carefully cut plastic tie where the ends of the O’Go meet. ​
Pull tie to remove. ​
For this pattern, colors can be easily separated by gently pulling apart and cutting at the color transition. Each color is ready to use. Follow color guide shown in Materials section for each O’Go (Contrast A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H and I). You may find it helpful to place each color section in its own resealable (zip lock) bag and label each bag - A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H and I.
Blanket is worked from the center out, with each section working from the previous section.

BLANKET

SECTION 1
Beg at center of Blanket, with C, cast on 15 sts. Do not join. Working back and forth across needle in rows, proceed as follows:
Knit 18 rows (garter st) noting first row is RS. Break C.

SECTION 2
With I, knit 18 rows (garter st). Leave these 15 sts on st holder.

SECTION 3
With RS facing and I, pick up and knit 9 sts down side of Section 2, then pick up and knit 9 sts down side of Section 1. 18 sts.
Knit 11 rows (garter st). Leave these 18 sts on a st holder.

SECTION 4
With RS facing and G, pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 3, then pick up and knit 15 sts across cast on edge of Section 1. 21 sts.
Knit 11 rows (garter st). Leave these 21 sts on a st holder.

SECTION 5
With RS facing and G, pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 4, 9 sts up side of Section 1, then 9 sts up side of Section 2. 24 sts.
Knit 11 rows (garter st). Leave these 24 sts on a st holder.

SECTION 6
With RS facing and B, pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 5, K15 from Section 2 st holder, then pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 3. 27 sts.
Knit 11 rows (garter st). Leave these 27 sts on a st holder.

SECTION 7
With RS facing and A, pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 6, K18 from Section 3 st holder, then pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 4. 30 sts.
Knit 11 rows (garter st). Leave these 30 sts on a st holder.

SECTION 8
With RS facing and H, pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 7, K21 from Section 4 st holder, then pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 5. 33 sts.
Knit 11 rows (garter st). Leave these 33 sts on a st holder.

SECTION 9
With RS facing and H, pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 8, K24 from Section 5 st holder, then pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 6. 36 sts.
Knit 17 rows (garter st). Leave these 36 sts on a st holder.

SECTION 10
With RS facing and E pick up and knit 9 sts across side of Section 9, K27 from Section 6 st holder, then pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 7. 42 sts.
Knit 17 rows (garter st). Leave these 42 sts on a st holder.

SECTION 11
With RS facing and E, pick up and knit 9 sts across side of Section 10, K30 from Section 7 st holder, then pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 8. 45 sts.
Knit 11 rows (garter st). Leave these 45 sts on a st holder.

SECTION 12
With RS facing and D, pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 11, K33 from Section 8 st holder, then pick up and knit 9 sts across side of Section 9. 48 sts.
Knit 17 rows (garter st). Leave these 48 sts on a st holder.

SECTION 13
With RS facing and D, pick up and knit 9 sts across side of Section 12, K36 from Section 9 st holder, then pick up and knit 9 sts across side of Section 10. 54 sts.
Knit 11 rows (garter st). Leave these 54 sts on a st holder.

SECTION 14
With RS facing and F, pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 13, K45 from Section 10 st holder, then pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 11. 57 sts.
Knit 11 rows (garter st). Leave these 57 sts on a st holder.

SECTION 15
With RS facing and F, pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 14, K45 from Section 11 st holder, then pick up and knit 9 sts across side of Section 12. 60 sts.
Knit 11 rows (garter st). Leave these 60 sts on a st holder.

SECTION 16
With RS facing and F, pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 15, K51 from Section 12 st holder, then pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 13. 63 sts.
Knit 11 rows (garter st). Leave these 63 sts on a st holder.

SECTION 17
With RS facing and F, pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 16, K54 from Section 13 st holder, then pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 14. 66 sts.
Knit 11 rows (garter st). Leave these 66 sts on a st holder.

SECTION 18
With RS facing and A, pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 17, K57 from Section 14 st holder, then pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 15. 69 sts.
Knit 11 rows (garter st). Leave these 69 sts on a st holder.

SECTION 19
With RS facing and B, pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 18, K60 from Section 15 st holder, then pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 16. 72 sts.
Knit 17 rows (garter st). Leave these 72 sts on a st holder.

SECTION 20
With RS facing and H, pick up and knit 9 sts across side of Section 19, K63 from Section 16 st holder, then pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 17. 78 sts.
Knit 17 rows (garter st). Leave these 78 sts on a st holder.

SECTION 21
With RS facing and I, pick up and knit 9 sts across side of Section 20, K66 from Section 17 st holder, then pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 18. 81 sts.
Knit 11 rows (garter st). Leave these 81 sts on a st holder.

SECTION 22
With RS facing and C, pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 21, K69 from Section 18 st holder, then pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 19. 81 sts.
Knit 7 rows (garter st). Cast off knitwise.

SECTION 23
With RS facing and C, pick up and knit 5 sts across side of Section 22, K72 from Section 19 st holder, then pick up and knit 9 sts across side of Section 20. 86 sts.
Knit 7 rows (garter st). Cast off knitwise.

SECTION 24
With RS facing and C, pick up and knit 5 sts across side of Section 23, K81 from Section 20 st holder, then pick up and knit 6 sts across side of Section 21. 92 sts.
Knit 7 rows (garter st). Cast off knitwise.

SECTION 25
With RS facing and C, pick up and knit 5 sts across side of Section 24, K81 from Section 21 st holder, then pick up and knit 5 sts across side of Section 22. 91 sts.
Knit 7 rows (garter st). Cast off knitwise.

FRINGE
Cut 14" lengths of A, D, E and G.
Taking 3 strands tog for each fringe, knot into fringe evenly across ends into every other st in this order: D, A, G, E. Trim fringe evenly.
