Knit Pillows

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• #6 Bernat® Blanket™ Yarn, Color of Choice
• 16" Pillow Forms
• 24" US Size 13 Circular Knitting Needle
• Crochet Hook (to Tuck in Ends)
• Large Yarn Needle

DIRECTIONS:

Cast on 42 stitches in color 1, leaving a tail about 20 inches long for seaming
Place marker and join to knit in the round
Knit 16 rows in color 1
(do not cut yarn)
Attach color 2
Knit 2 rows in color 2
Knit 2 rows in color 1
Knit 6 rows in color 2
Attach color 3
Knit 2 rows in color 3
Knit 3 rows in color 1
Knit 6 rows in color 3
Knit 2 rows in color 2
Knit 2 rows in color 1
(cut color 1)
Knit 4 rows in color 2
(cut color 2)
Knit 10 rows in color 3
Place knitted piece over the pillow.
You will have two open ends on the top and bottom.
Leaving 42 stitches on needle, split stitches so that 21 are on the back of your circular needle and 21 are on the front. Cut yarn leaving a tail about 20 inches long for seaming and place on yarn needle. Place needle through front stitch as if to purl and slide off. Place needle through back stitch as if to knit and slide off. Pull gently so that yarn is ready for the next stitch. Repeat until you've seemed across all stitches and tuck in ends. (Note: do not pull too tightly or your seam will gather).
Your cast on edge will need seamed next. Place yarn tail that you left with cast on onto yarn needle. Seam edge by knitting through each column in the front with the coordinating column in the back. Cut and tuck in ends.
Tassels can be added as an optional element to each corner.
