Perfect batting
I bought this for our church quilting group. We make child size quilts and donate them to hospitals and facilities that serve needy families. Batting is perfect for lightweight quilts. Photo is of ladies in our group and materials ready to prepare.

Purchase of batting
I have been buying this product over the past several years and have been to totally satisfied. When I got the roll, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It was so thin I could see through it. I held it up to a piece of my last order and there was no comparison. I called the store, and because of the size, they let me return it to a local Joann's where I received a refund. I have not checked yet to see if I was charged the shipping fee--I hope not.

Mission work
Our sewing group at church makes lap blankets, baby quilts and comforters for t needy. We use the 9812066 48" - 3 oz batting for all of our projects. It's wonderful to see the finished product after using this high quality batting.

Just the right thickness
this batting is used by a group of women that make lap quilts for the VA center. The loft is just right. Not to thick or heavy, which would make it difficult for our elderly ladies to handle, and just the right thickness to add a little comfort for the user.

Easy to use!
We use this batting for our charity lap and baby quilts. It lies smooth so it is easy to work with. Some of our group have purchased quilts and have found that this batting holds up in washing. For the size we make this thinner loft works well in our knotted blankets. I do not pay full price for this as it is often on sale. A good feature for our charity work.

For the right projects
I make 10-20 blankets per month for Project Linus so needed lots of batting for a good price. I ordered this on line and got a BIG package. It is more difficult to maneuver because of the size but in the end I believe it will be great. Beware that's the is a very low loft so if you want a puffy result it will not work well. With my blankets this is very nice. Most of them are for babies or small children so the lightness is great. I'm very glad I purchased this, but it is not going to be useful in every case. The economical price makes it a welcome addition to my workroom.

I belong to a small sewing group that is making quilts for Three Hots and a Cot in Birmingham, AL. It is a shelter for homeless vets, both men and women. This batting is perfect in more ways than one for the quilts we are making. The price is good, the the quality is great and it is so easy to work with. We will be presenting our finished quilts to Three Hots and a Cot on Veterans Day and will have pictures at that time. Our little group would appreciate any donations of sewing or quilting supplies that Joann's can make. All of the things we sew or quilt go to various charities.

Better then I expected...
I was reluctant because of the reviews, but this is really good batting. You can't beat the price with the sales and I have been very pleased. I prefer a little more loft, but I can double this and it's just fine. I will certainly order it again... Next year, when I've gone through the stash I have now. Hee! Hee!

It CAN Feel Puffier!
I use this all the time for charity quilts. I have found that if I cut the size I need, spray with water, and put in the dryer, it comes out much puffier and less mat-like.

Perfect for charity quilts
I make a LOT of charity quilts and this batting is just perfect. It is priced just right so I can afford to make a lot of quilts. It washes up nicely and holds together well. It is very thin and will tear easily, so be careful when pulling it. You are getting what you pay for so don't expect thick, high quailty batting, but if you have a lot of quick quilts to make, this batting fits the bill perfectly!

Inconsistant
First time I ordered it was perfect for children's quilts. Second bolt was thicker and with high and low loft. Using it but it is difficult to work with.

Different thickness
The first time I used the product it was just what I wanted. We was using it for Hospital quilts in a tropical country, but the next time I ordered it, It was different thickness, it might have been 3oz both orders but it was definetly different in feel and texture. I called JoAnn's to discuss this but they said it was the same product number. I am using it and it is a good product, you just don't know exactly what you are getting each time.

Disappointed
The first time I purchased this I was delighted with the quality. The second time the product was different from the first time. It was 108" wide instead of 48" and the texture and loft was noticably different. I don't know if I received the correct amount as it is on a bolt. Due to the fact that you CAN NOT return internet purchases to the store, my only option was to return it to the warehouse at a WHOPPING $28 for shipping which would not be reimbursed. I opted to keep the roll as I only paid $35 or so for it. I'll use it for dog beds or something as it is unsuitable for the original project.
