Lace Crop Top and Chiffon Wrap Skirt

DESCRIPTION +

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Pattern: Burda #7064, View A
  • Lace fabric: follow pattern envelope
  • Lining: follow pattern envelope using the same amount as the fabric
  • 14" fashion zipper
  • Basic sewing supplies
  • Sewing machine
  • Iron & pressing surface

DIRECTIONS:

1. Use pattern instruction in envelope with the exception of the following:
2. Use 5/8" seam unless stated otherwise.
3. Shorten sleeve pattern 2", remove hem on sleeve and sew the lining and lace together at the hem, right sides together with a 1/4" seam and turn right sides out.
4. Shorten bodice front and back 5-1/2"
5. Lower center back neckline and neck facing 1"
6. When sewing the lace and lining, treat fabrics as one.
7. Sew neckline facing on then attach zipper on the outside of the top after facing is completed.

Chiffon Wrap Skirt

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Pattern: Burda #7229
  • 8 yds. chiffon fabric
  • 8 yds. lining fabric
  • Basic sewing tools
  • Sewing machine
  • Iron & pressing surface

DIRECTIONS:

1. Use pattern instruction in envelope with the exception of the following:
2. Use view A for wrap skirt using the same pattern piece for the sheer and lining. Where the pattern states cut 4 sheer, instead cut 2 and 2 of lining. That equals the cut 4 stated on pattern. Add 21-1/2" to the length of the hem to each pattern piece to make the skirt longer.
3. For the waistband cut 2 of lining and 1 of sheer. The sheer fabric will be placed on top of the lining to match the skirt.
