SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- 1/2" Cotton or Nylon strapping
- 1/2" Swivel Hooks
- Needle
- Thread
- Scissors
- Ruler
DIRECTIONS:
- Cut your strapping to desired length, leaving an extra 2" to account for fold over & loop allowance.
- Place the swivel hook onto the strapping. Fold the end over 1/4" and then 1/4" again to hide the end of the strap and prevent fraying. Fold over the swivel hook making a loop.
- Hand sew the loop in place where the double folded end is to secure in place.
- Sew under the swivel hook across the loop to keep the hook from twisting and to give extra support.
Craft Hack Tips and Tricks:
- Hide the knot inside the loop by knotting the end of the thread and starting your needle from between the folds and pushing out.
- If using nylon strapping, use a lighter to singe the end and help with fraying.

These are great!
I like this better than a regular, single hook lanyard because this allows the mask to be worn while still attached to the lanyard. An earlier review said this falls on the floor when the mask is being worn. No! You don’t separate the mask from the lanyard to wear it! The mask is just picked up and hooked over the ears, leaving the lanyard attached. The swivel hooks just hang down at the back of the ear.

Not realistic for kids
When kids are wearing their masks, this will fall on the floor. A traditional lanyard will stay on, keeping the masks sanitary.
