She is doing a great job following the instructions to build particular projects, then coming up with her own. However, the blue and green rectangular pieces have been breaking apart. Soon we will not have enough to complete designs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed with toy quality I thought this toy looked so cute and would be great for my classroom, especially as a December center. After only 2 or 3 days of use (with small groups), several of the blue and green blocks broke apart and cannot be used. I purchase most classroom items with personal funds, and was disappointed this didn't last very long.

It's helping them develop finger strength because the pieces have to be pushed in firmly to stick (we've had no problems with anything being too loose). The girl thinks she might want to be an architect because of this set :-)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't stick together We bought this for our Pre-K students. It's frustrating as the pieces don't stick together securely so the things students try to create fall apart. We tried to build the Yummy Buggy, which is the first example in the booklet and it doesn't even stay together. Not pleased with this product.

The pieces do not stay together when attempting to construct the toys in the booklet. The green and blue connectors, the chocolate panels and the bendy twists do not snap/hold together which makes building frustrating and a HUGE disappointment.

Maybe kids may have enjoyed it at age 2-3 for the colour but if you think your kids could actually build anything forget it. The pieces don't stick together at all. Unless you use glue all you have is a big box of colourful plastic and disappointed kids.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pieces keep falling apart. Very frustrating I usually am a big fan of Learning Resources, but not this time. It is very appealing visually but that stops there. All the pieces keep falling apart and it is very very frustrating, even for me. I do not recommend at all this set. It is kind of useless as you cannot build what you want because it comes undone every time you add a piece.

Nothing held together tightly so his amazing creations kept getting spoiled. I will not use this toy with my kindergarten class, and am returning it to the store.

Children may select it independently during Free Choice time (which they do almost daily), or I will use it to work on specific targeted objectives during Learning Centers, such as sorting, counting, adding groups, etc. The fine motor components and embedded math/problem solving opportunities make this a great classroom choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful toy of high quality As it is a gift to our young grandson, the colors,texture and "feel" of the set provides endless possibilities for him to design. The flexible "twizzler-like" rod allows for movement and tactile differences that are not found in other building or creative sets. The colors and candy design draw him to the set, giving him another perspective of shapes and movement he can incorporate into whatever he decides to make. I would highly recommend this set to anyone who wants to engage their child/grandchild in something other than watching television or playing video games. The set allows children to use their imagination and promotes their small motor skills.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Building Fun for All! This is such a fun set! It comes with a guide that has step by step instructions for building different things. The instructions are so easy to follow that my 4 year old can understand and do them himself. I had almost as much fun building as my son did. The parts are very durable and easy to put together. My son can build these on his own but it's also fun to play with him. We love that all the pieces look like candy and that makes it even more fun. It really brings out my son's imagination and I think it's a great set. I would highly recommend this fun and creative toy. **I received the product free of charge in order to do an honest review. This in no way affected my review**

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Candy Cars and Candy Houses are a hit! Just looking at the box the kids got excited. Thankfully there was a booklet included to get you started on the candy building. The kids didn't need it, my daughter had suckers for everyone where as my son was building candy houses and candy cars. The pieces are large and easy to connect together so even small hands can put them together. There are plenty of pieces included in this set for multiple children to play together. The pieces are very strong and withstand toddlers well. The Candy Construction set is fun and unique. It's great for both boys and girls...parents too. At our house we need to work on returning the pieces to the handy box when we're done playing. My daughter likes to carry the "suckers" around with here and share them with her baby dolls. I received this product for review purposes.

We love that this set is unisex in it's design so both boys & girls would enjoy it. The pieces are well-made and it's easy for little kids to construct things of their own creation. Some building sets are hard to put together, not this one! Little G loves this set and it has been her favorite building set for the past 6 weeks!

Not only is it multi-age appropriate and appealing, it's also colorful and, well, shaped like candy! I love that the pieces are large enough for little hands to grasp. My kids are old enough to handle things like this pretty well now, but even younger kids (preschool-aged) could build with these blocks. They also go together and pull apart easily; they are not frustrating to connect and disconnect. The directions for the handful of projects that come with the set are laid out well and easy-to-follow, and the projects included are cute and adorably-named.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Building Set that Kids will Love! My four year old daughter loves to build with anything and everything she can get her hands on. You can bet when I presented her with this set, that she was extremely overjoyed and bubbling with happiness. This Candy Set is ideal for building all sorts of candy structures that develop skills in your child such as challenging them to to follow instruction. I like that there are full color illustrated instructions in the included manual that demonstrate what pieces they'll need from the set to make things like a car, swing, and a house to name a few. But this set isn't limited to just those things, children can then be encouraged to think up and create their own personal masterpieces! Ninety-two pieces of various candy are included in this set. There's plenty to go around and would be fun for more than one child to share and use at the same time. I found the pieces to be quiet durable and are sized perfectly with their chunky weight and colorfully sweet shades of red, green, orange, yellow, purple, and chocolate! My daughter could easily put pieces together and take them apart with no trouble. The set is really durable and that something I appreciate in any sort of product made for children to play with. She loves playing with this set and discovering what interesting new things she can make up to show everyone! I asked her thoughts and she said it was really fun to play with and that she loves having something other than just blocks to use to build things. Overall, we all really adore the Candy Building set. It's great for developing fine motor skills as well as thinking up new things in a fun exploratory way! If you have a child that loves to build as much as mine, you'll most definitely want to think about purchasing this really neat set for them too!

Our 2 year old son is able to play with it just fine though but he does have trouble trying to fit some of the pieces together. Our girls are 7 and 9 and they just love this set. At least once a day the kids pull this out to build something. It is very durable, colorful and the kids love it.
