Fringe is attached to lower edge of hanging, then top edge of hanging is attached to a dowel.

Weave in ends.
FRINGE
For each fringe, cut 2 strands about 20 in. (51 cm) long. Hold strands together and fold in half. Use crochet hook to draw fold through edge of hanging at one end of Row 30, forming a loop. Pull ends of fringe through this loop. Pull to tighten. Make fringes in each end of all rows along lower diagonal edges of hanging. Trim fringe ends at an angle.
ATTACHING HANGING TO DOWEL ROD
Thread blunt needle with a long strand of yarn. Knot end of strand to the top edge of the hanging.
Hold the dowel against the top edge of the hhanginganging. Loop the yarn over the dowel then draw through the top edge of the hanging.
Continue in this way until the top edge of the hanging is fully attached to the dowel.
Knot yarn.
HANGER
Thread blunt needle with a long strand of yarn in color as desired. Draw strand through one top corner of hanging and knot. Draw remaining end of strand through opposite top corner of hanging and knot.
If desired, trim yarn ends of the hanger.
