Approx 4" [10 cm] diameter.

GAUGE

13 sc and 14 rows = 4" [10 cm]

Directions

Notes: Crochet around the craft cord as you work.

After set-up rnd, Coasters are worked in a spiral. Do not join rnds, simply work directly into next st (noting marker to indicate end of rnd will move up each rnd).

Set-up rnd: Measure 2" [5 cm] from end of craft cord and place marker on cord at this point. Join A  with sl st around cord at marker (this end will be sewn in place on WS during Finishing). Ch 1. Working around cord, work 10 sc. Join with sl st to fi rst sc. 1st rnd: Ch 1. 2 sc in fi rst sc. Place marker on fi rst sc worked. *2 sc in each sc around. 20 sc. 2nd rnd: *1 sc in next sc. 2 sc in next sc. Rep from * around. 30 sc. 3rd rnd: *1 sc in each of next 2 sc. 2 sc in next sc. Rep from * around. 40 sc. If desired, break A to join Contrast B for edging or work 4th rnd with A. 4th rnd: With B, *1 sc in each of next 3 sc. 2 sc in next sc. Rep from * around. 50 sc. Join with sl st to fi rst sc at end of rnd. Fasten off . Cut cord, leaving 2" [5 cm] tail end.

FINISHING

Secure ends of cord on WS, using either tail ends of yarn or sewing thread.
