SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Use yardage on pattern envelope
  • 3/8" fusible interfacing
  • McCalls 7968
  • Kraft paper, pencil
  • Sewing notions

DIRECTIONS:Seams are 5/8" unless noted. Follow pattern and instructions to complete dress.

  1. To change neckline round to square neckline: The back neckline will stay the same. From the shoulder line measure down 7" parallel with the center front. Draw a line over to the center front.
  2. The pattern states to finish neckline with a bias trim. Make a facing for the square neckline: Measure 3" down at the center back neckline and new square neckline in the front. Make patter out of Kraft paper. Add interfacing to pattern.
  3. Sew facing to dress, right sides together, trim seam allowance, turn, press neckline. Tack at shoulder and center back.

  • Use a medium weight fusible interfacing for a medium weight fabric.
