- 53" of Navy Blue fabric or 1 1/2yds
- 39" of White fabric or 1 1/8yds
- 39" of Rust fabric or 1 1/8yds
- 25" of lining for bodice or 3/4 yd
- Kraft paper
- Pencil
- Sewing supplies
DIRECTIONS:
NOTE: Use 5/8" seam on pattern.- Adjustment of bodice pattern: Add 5/8" seam allowance to Center Back.
- Adjustment for the removal of collar: Take off 3 1/2" from the center back collar. Draw a line down to the marking of dot on the pattern for the shoulder line. Start to curve a line, removing the fullness of collar about 8" down from shoulder line then gradually going to nothing at the waist. More can be removed if wanted for more of a V-neckline. Repeat the same for the lining.
- Adjustment for belt: Remove 1" off of the length of belt.
- Cut the back skirt, center front bodice and belt out of Navy.
- Cut right side bodice, left front skirt and left bodice back out of Orange.
- Cut left side bodice, right front skirt and right bodice back out of White.
- Cut lining for the bodice as instructed with new center front pattern.
JOANN HACKS:
- Use #11 or #14 sewing needle when sewing linen.
- When sewing a multi-colored garment, choose the lightly colored thread for serging so that the darker colors do not show through.
