Double Seed St (worked over a multiple of 4 sts)
Row 1 (right side): *K2, p2; rep from * to end of row.
Row 2: *K2, p2; rep from * to end of row.
Row 3: *P2, k2; rep from * to end of row.
Row 4: *P2, k2; rep from * to end of row.
Rep Rows 1-4 for Double Seed st.
NOTES:
Blanket is worked in one piece on a circular needle.
A circular needle is used to accommodate the number of sts. Work back and forth in rows on the circular needle, just as if working on straight needles.
We used a larger size needle to create an open fabric.
BLANKET:
With A, cast on 80 sts.
Rows 1-12: With A, work in Double Seed st for 12 rows.
Rows 13-24: With B, work in Double Seed st for 12 rows.
Rep Rows 1-24 for 6 times, then rep Rows 1-12 once more.
Bind off.

Needle size and blanket size
The directions say a larger needle was used. What size was used? Also do you double the number of cast on stitches to make a larger blanket.
