WALL HANGING:
With A, ch 73.
Row 1 (RS): With A, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across - you will have 72 sc in this row.
Rows 2-4: With A, ch 1, turn, sc in each st across and change to B in last st of Row 4.
Continue to work in rows of single crochet (sc) AND beg with Row 5 of Chart, change yarn color following Chart, until all 96 rows of Chart have been completed.
Top Row: Ch 4, turn, sk first st, Etr in each st across.
Fasten off.

FINISHING:
Weave in ends.

FRINGE:
Cut 2 strands of A about 17in long. For each fringe, hold strands together and fold in half. Use crochet hook to draw fold through lower edge of piece, forming a loop. Pull ends of fringe through this loop. Pull to tighten.
Make 36 fringe evenly spaced along lower edge.
Trim fringe ends evenly.
Without allowing iron to touch the yarn, team block piece.
Weave wooden dowel in and out through spaces between sts of Top Row.
With A, make a chain about 28 1/2in long, Fasten off.
Tie one end of chain around one end of dowel and the other end around opposite end of dowel for hanging.

STITCH EXPLANATION:
Etr (extended treble/triple crochet) (Yarn over) twice, insert hook in indicated st and draw up a loop (4 loops on hook), yarn over and draw through 1 loop on hook, (yarn over and draw through 2 loops on hook) 3 times.

NOTES:
Wall hanging is worked from the lower edge upwards, back and forth in rows.
Yarn color is changed following Chart in template. When working from Chart, read RS rows from right to left and WS rows from left to right.
Use a separate ball of yarn for each section of color. Wind yarns B and D into 2 separate balls each before beginning.
To change yarn color, work last st of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete st. Do not cut old color. Carry colors not in use along WS of piece.
