Lion Brand Basic Stitch Anti-Pilling Tubular Wavy Scarf

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• LION BRAND® BASIC STITCH® ANTI-PILLING - Peachy - 4 balls
• LION BRAND® stitch marker
• LION BRAND® cable needle
• LION BRAND® Pompom maker
• LION BRAND® large-eyed blunt needle
• Double-pointed knitting needles size 11 (8 mm), set of 5


• SIZE:
• About 6 1/2"x 36 1/2" (16.5 x 92.5 cm)


• GAUGE:
• 18 sts = about 4" (10 cm) over pattern of Rnds 1-10 with 2 strands of yarn held together.
• BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE.

DIRECTIONS:
STITCH EXPLANATION
5/5 LC (5 over 5 left cross) Slip 5 sts to cable needle and hold in front, k5, then k5 from cable needle.

NOTES:
Scarf is worked in one piece in rnds from the lower edge upwards.
Two strands of yarn are held together to make the Scarf.

SCARF:
With 2 strands of yarn held together and leaving a long beg tail, cast on 56 sts. Divide sts onto 4 needles, placing 14 sts on each needle. Place marker for beg of rnd. Join by purling the first st on the lefthand needle with the working yarn from the righthand needle and being careful not to twist sts.

Rnds 1 and 2: *P4, k10; rep from * around.
Rnd 3: *P4, 5/5 LC; rep from * around.
Rnds 4-10: *P4, k10; rep from * around.
Rep Rnds 1-10 until piece measures about 36 1/2" (92.5 cm) from beg, end with a Rnd 5 as the last rnd you work.

Cut yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread tail through remaining sts. Pull tail to close opening at end of Scarf.
Knot securely.
Rep to close beginning end of Scarf.

FINISHING:
Following package directions, make 2 pompoms. Tie one pompom to each end of Scarf.

Weave in yarn ends.
