DIRECTIONS:

Row 1 (RS): Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across - you will have 50 (53, 56, 65, 71, 80, 80, 86, 92) sc in this row.
Row 2: Ch 3 (does not count as a st), turn, sk first 2 sts, 3 dc in next st, *sk next 2 sts, 3 dc in next st; rep from * to last 2 sts, sk next st, dc in last st - 16 (17, 18, 21, 23, 26, 26, 28, 30) 3-dc groups.
Row 3: Ch 2 (does not count as a st), turn, 2 dc in first st, sk first 3-dc group, 3 dc in each sp between 3-dc groups, 3 dc in beg ch-3 sp - 17 (18, 19, 22, 24, 27, 27, 29, 31) groups (the first group consists of ch-2 and 2 dc).
Row 4: Ch 3 (does not count as a st), turn, 3 dc in each sp between 3-dc groups, 3 dc in sp between last 3-dc group and beg 2-dc group, dc in beg ch-2 sp - 16 (17, 18, 21, 23, 26, 26, 38, 30) 3-dc groups.

Shape Front Armholes and Neck
Place a marker at center of last row worked for center front neck. For sizes XS, M, 2X, 3X, 4X, and 5X the center will be in the center dc of a 3-dc cluster. For sizes S, L and 1X the center will be in a space between 3-dc clusters.
Place 2 more markers in last row worked in the 2nd (2nd, 3rd, 3rd, 4th, 4th, 4th, 4th, 5th) space between groups from each side edge for armholes.
Right Front
Row 1 (WS): From WS, join yarn with sl st in first marked sp, ch 3 (does not count as a st), sk same sp as joining sl st, 3 dc in each sp between 3-dc groups to just before center marker, dc in same st or sp as center marker - 6 (6, 6, 7, 7, 9, 9, 10, 10) 3-dc groups
Row 2: Ch 3 (does not count as a st), turn, sk first 3-dc group, 3 dc in each sp between 3-dc groups, 3 dc in beg ch-3 sp - 6 (6, 6, 7, 7, 9, 9, 10, 10) 3-dc groups.
Row 3: Ch 3 (does not count as a st), turn, 3 dc in each sp between 3-dc groups, dc in beg ch-3 sp - 5 (5, 5, 6, 6, 8, 8, 9, 9) 3-dc groups.

Row 2: Ch 2 (does not count as a st), turn, 2 dc in first st, sk first 3-dc group, 3 dc in each sp between 3-dc groups, 3 dc in beg ch-3 sp - 14 (15, 14, 15, 17, 20, 20, 20) groups (the first group consists of ch-2 and 2 dc).
Row 3: Ch 3 (does not count as a st), turn, 3 dc in each sp between 3-dc groups, 3 dc in sp between last 3-dc group and beg 2-dc group, dc in beg ch-2 sp - 13 (14, 13, 14, 16, 19, 19, 19) 3-dc groups.
Rep Rows 2 and 3 until you have a total of 12 (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20) rows from beg of armholes.
Fasten off.
FINISHING:
From WS join shoulders as follows: With yarn tail and working through both thicknesses (Front and Back), work sl st, ch 1, sl st, ch 1, evenly spaced across.
Fasten off.
Join sides in same way, leaving 3 (3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 4, 4)" open at lower edges for side slits.
Weave in ends.
