DIRECTIONS:

    STITCH EXPLANATIONS:
    beg-Cl (beginning 3 double crochet cluster) Ch 3, yarn over, insert hook in indicated st and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops on hook (2 loops rem on hook); yarn over, insert hook in same st and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops on hook, yarn over and draw through all 3 loops on hook.
    Cl (3 double crochet cluster) Yarn over, insert hook in indicated st, yarn over and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops on hook (2 loops rem on hook), (yarn over, insert hook in same st, yarn over and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops on hook) twice; yarn over and draw through all 4 loops on hook.

    NOTE:
    Front and Back of Pillow are worked separately in joined rnds.

    FRONT:
    Ch 4.
    Rnd 1 (RS): Work 12 dc in 4th ch from hook (3 skipped ch do not count as a st); join with sl st in first dc - you will have 12 dc in this rnd.
    Rnd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each st around; join wth sl st in first sc - 24 sc.
    Rnd 3: Beg-Cl in same st as joining sl st, *ch 2, sk next st, Cl in next st; rep from * to last st, ch 2, sk last st; join with sl st in top of beg-Cl - 12 Cl and 12 ch-2 sps.
    Rnd 4: Sl st in first ch-2 sp, ch 3 (counts as dc), 2 dc in same ch-2 sp, *ch 1, 3 dc in next ch-2 sp; rep from * around, ch 1; join with sl st in top of beg ch-3 - 36 dc (twelve 3-dc groups) and 12 ch-1 sps.
    Rnd 5: Ch 1, sc in each dc and ch-1 sp around; join with sl st in first sc - 48 sc.
    Rnd 6: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in same st as joining sl st, ch 1, sk next st, 2 dc in next st, *sk next st, 2 dc in next st, ch 1, sk next st, 2 dc in next st; rep from * to last st, sk last st; join with sl st in top of beg ch-3 - 48 dc (twenty-four 2-dc groups) and 12 ch-1 sps.
    Rnd 7: Ch 2 (does not count as a st), working in dc and ch-1 sps as sts, *dc in next 14 sts, 2 dc in next st; rep from * around; join with sl st in first dc - 64 dc.
    Rnd 8: Ch 6 (counts as dc, ch 3), dc in same st as joining sl st, *sk next 3 sts, (dc, ch 3, dc) in next st; rep from * to last 3 sts, sk last 3 sts; join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch-6 - 32 dc and 16 ch-3 sps.

    Rnd 10: Ch 1, sc in each dc and ch-1 sp around; join with sl st in first sc - 80 sc.

    Make same as Front.
    Do not fasten off.

    FINISHING:
    Hold Front and Back with WS together and sts matching. Using yarn still attached to Back, sl st edges together, insert pillow form before you finish sewing closed.

    Weave in ends.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from You’ll need two balls of yarn This is an of the moment pattern. I have enjoyed working on it as the yarn required is lovely and the pattern is clear. One ball was just short of being enough to complete the item.
