To change yarn color, work last st of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops to complete st. Fasten off old color. Proceed with new color.

Row 1: V-st in 5th ch from hook (4 skipped ch count as 1 base ch and first dc), *sk next 2 ch, V-st in next ch; rep from * to last 2 ch, sk next ch, dc in last ch - you will have 32 V-sts, 1 dc at beg and end of this row.
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), turn, V-st in each ch-1 sp across, dc in top of beg ch.
