DIRECTIONS:

NOTES
Afghan is worked in one piece, back and forth in rows.
A circular needle is used to accommodate the number of stitches. Work back and forth in rows on the circular needle as if working on straight needles.
The yarn color is changed to make stripes. When changing yarn color, do not cut old color. Carry color not in use along side edge of Afghan.
AFGHAN:
With A, cast on 180 sts.
Work in Garter st (k every st on every row) for 11 rows.
Main Pattern
Row 1 (RS): With A, knit.
Row 2: With A, k6, place marker (pm), p to last 6 sts, pm, k6.
Rows 3-10: With A, and keeping first and last 6 sts in Garter st, work in St st (k on RS, p on WS) between markers for 8 more rows, slipping markers as you come to them.
Continue to slip markers as you come to them.
Rows 11 and 12: With B, work in Garter st for 2 rows.
Rows 13 and 14: With A, keeping first and last 6 sts in Garter st, work in St st between markers for 2 rows.
Rows 15-18: Rep Rows 11-14.
Rows 19 and 20: Rep Rows 11 and 12.
Rows 21-60: With A, keeping first and last 6 sts in Garter st, work in St st between markers for 40 rows.
Rep Rows 11-60 for 4 more times.
Rep Rows 11-20.
Cut B.
Work with A only for remainder of Afghan.
Keeping first and last 6 sts in Garter st, work in St st between markers for 10 rows.
Work in Garter st for 12 rows.
Bind off.
FINISHING:
Weave in ends.
