GAUGE:
12 sts + 10 rows = about 4" over (sc, dc) pattern of Rows 2 & 3.
Be sure to check gauge.

NOTES:
Scarf is worked in one piece, back & forth in rows.
Yarn color is changed every row.
To change yarn color, work last st of old color to last yarn over.
Yarn over with new color & draw through all loops on hook to complete st.
Proceed with new color.
Do not cut old color.
Carry color not in use along tops of sts of previous row & work sts of new color over the carried strand, enclosing it inside the fabric.

DIRECTIONS:

SCARF:
With A, ch 35.
Row 1: With A, sc in 2nd ch from hook, * dc in next ch, sc in next ch; rep from * to last ch, dc in last ch and change to B - you will have 34 sts in this row.
Row 2: With B, ch 1, turn, sc in first dc, * dc in next sc, sc in next dc; rep from * to last st, dc in last sc and change to A.
Row 3: With A, ch 1, turn, sc in first dc, * dc in next sc, sc in next dc; rep from * to last st, dc in last sc and change to B.
Rep Rows 2 & 3 until almost all yarn has been used, end with an A-colored row (Row 3) as the last row you work.
Fasten off.

FINISHING:
Weave in ends.
