SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Bernat Blanket O’Go (10.5 oz/300 g; 220 yds/201 m)Rose Gold 1 O’Go
- Art Nouveau 1 O’Go
- 8" tall 3D purchased or cardboard letters of your choice to wrap
- MEASUREMENT:Approx 8" tall
DIRECTIONS:
-
To begin working with the O’Go format, carefully cut plastic tie where the ends of the O’Go meet.
Pull tie to remove
Colors can be easily separated by gently pulling apart and cutting at the color transition. Each color is ready to use.
NOTE: Surfaces that cannot be reached with wrapping will be covered with lengths of yarn first.
Glue Outer Surfaces
Cut lengths to cover the outer edges of the letters. It is usually not necessary to cover the entire perimeter, since the wrapping will also cover parts of the perimeter.
Beginning at any point along the area to be covered, apply an even layer of glue approximately 3" long, and extending to the outside edges. Adjust the lengths so they lie smoothly and give adequate coverage. Continue around all edges.
Use push pins to hold the outside strands snuggly against corners; let dry.
Glue Corner Surfaces
Cut lengths of yarn to cover the front and back where they will not be covered when wrapping the letters. Note that yarns will naturally overlap on some letters, like the top of 'A’.
Glue in place.
WRAPPING
Apply a layer of glue on back of letter in area to be wrapped.
Leaving 2" to 3" tails, evenly wrap yarn around letter in your color of choice.
Use yarn needle to pull the tails under wrapped area. Let dry.
