DIRECTIONS:
- (Test your fabric for heat sensitivity. Use a press cloth if needed)
- Cut a piece of fabric that will wrap around the cushion and leave an extra 5” on the length. Allow an extra 1/2" seam allowance on the sides.
- Fold under one end of fabric twice, 1/2" and 1" to create a sturdy hem wide enough to accommodate the width of the velcro. Press hem, stitch.
- Place half of the Velcro on the hem on this side, centered in from sides. Stitch in place.
- Match the placement of the second side of the Velcro to the RS of the other end of fabric. Fold over the raw edge to create a second hem. Stitch hem and Velcro in place.
- Test the fit to make sure the fabric is pulled snug over the cushion when the Velcro is secured.
- Create sides: Stand cushion on its end on the double layer of fabric and draw the shape, allow 1/2" seam allowance. Cut 2 identical pieces.
- Put cover on the cushion inside out. Pin the end shapes to the resulting shape.
- Clip end fabric pieces at 4 corners of the pillow.
- Carefully remove the cushion from the cover. Stitch the sides onto the body in a 1/2" seam.
- Clip where necessary to ease fit. Trim excess fabric. Press seams.
- Turn right side out. Insert pillow form.
