Macrame Coaster Set

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• Bernat Macrame Yarn
• Burnt Orange (66004) 1 ball makes 4 coasters
• Transparent tape
• Hair comb for fringe

DIRECTIONS:

MEASUREMENTS: Approx 4" wide x 6 1/2" long including fringe.

NOTE:
Tape strands to flat work surface for ease of working.
Instructions for Left-Right Double Half Hitch Row:

1. First strand on the left is "knot-bearer".
2. With next strand to the right, tie Double Half Hitch Knot onto knot-bearer.
3. Working left-to-right, continue tying Double Half Hitch Knots to knot-bearer using next strand to the right of previously knotted strand to end of row as indicated in pattern.

Instructions for Right-Left Double Half Hitch Row:

1. Last strand on the right is "knot-bearer".
2. With next strand to the left, tie Double Half Hitch Knot onto knot-bearer.
3. Working right-to-left, continue tying Double Half Hitch Knots to knot-bearer using next strand to the left of previously knotted strand to end of row as indicated in pattern.

Coaster Instructions:

1. Cut 10 strands 30" long and 1 strand 35".
2. Tape strands to work surface having 35" strand on left side.
3. Holding left-most strand across work, work Left-Right Double Half Hitch Row.
4. Holding right-most strand across work, work Right-Left Double Half Hitch Row.
5. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 twice more and then repeat Step 3 once more.
6. Trim ends to 1".
7. Un-ply each loose strand by twisting strand clockwise until plies loosen, separating plies from the cut end up to knot.
8. Comb fringe and trim evenly.
