• Bernat Macrame (8 8/10oz/250g; 44yds/40m)
• Natural (66001), 3 Balls
• Transparent Tape
• 4 Safety Pins
• Yarn Needle
• Hair Comb for Fringe
• Optional: 24" Dowels

DIRECTIONS:

1. First strand on the left is "knot-bearer". With next strand to the right, tie Double Half Hitch Knot onto knot-bearer. Working left-to-right, continue tying Double Half Hitch Knots to knot-bearer using next strand to the right of previously knotted strand to end of row as indicated in pattern.
2. Instructions for Right-Left Double Half Hitch Row:
3. Last strand on the right is "knot-bearer". With next strand to the left, tie Double Half Hitch Knot onto knot-bearer. Working right-to-left, continue tying Double Half Hitch Knots to knot-bearer using next strand to the left of previously knotted strand to end of row as indicated in pattern.

1. Cut 47 strands 60" long and 1 strand 90".
2. Tape strands to work surface having 90" strand on right side.
3. Holding right-most strand across work, work Right-Left Double Half Hitch Row.
4. Working from left to right in groups of 4 strands, work Square Knot across.
5. Miss first 2 strands. Working from left to right in groups of 4 strands, work Square Knot across. Leave remaining 2 strands unworked.
6. Repeat Steps 4 and 5 until work from Step 3 measures approximately 14".
7. Holding left-most strand across work, work Left-Right Double Half Hitch Row.
8. Trim ends to 2".
9. Measure 5" in on each side from each corner. Using safety pins, pin together as shown in diagram.
10. Cut 15" strand and un-ply full length.
11. Using one ply and yarn needle, sew from safety pin to corner at each corner. Remove safety pins.
12. Un-ply each loose strand by twisting strand clockwise until plies loosen, separating plies from the cut end up to knot. Comb fringe and trim evenly.
