Make A Reversable Sequin Oversized Cluth

DESCRIPTION +

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 5/8 yd sequin fabric
  • 5/8 yd lining
  • 5/8 yd of iron-on heavy Pellon®
  • 14" zipper
  • 1/4 yd leather fringe for tassel
  • Scrap gold trim or 1/4 yd
  • Size 14 or 16 sewing machine needle
  • Thread and sewing notions
  • Glue
  • Pattern

DIRECTIONS:

    All seams are 1/2" unless stated.
  1. To print the pattern, click on the "Download Project PDF" button (above). Using the pattern, cut out one pattern on the sequin fabric, lining and heavy Pellon, 16"x22" each.
  2. Press iron-on heavy Pellon to lining.
  3. Sew zipper to lining with wrong side of zipper to right side of lining. Sew zipper to sequin fabric to correspond with zipper sewn to lining.
  4. With right sides together, sew sides of clutch, leaving an opening in the lining for turning.
  5. Sew a triangle on each of the bottom corners of the lining and sequin fabric. Turn right sides out. Close lining.
  6. Roll the fringe tightly, secure with a dab of glue. Wrap gold trim tightly around the fringe and thread through the opening tab of the zipper. Glue the end of trim to the fringe.
