SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 25-27 spools Dual Duty XP thread in a variety of colors
  • Circular mirror, 13" diameter
  • 2/3 yd grosgrain ribbon, 1 1/2" wide
  • Hot glue gun and hot glue

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cover the work surface with paper to protect from glue.
  2. Trim thread ends that may extend from the spools.
  3. Lay the mirror right side up on the protected work surface.
  4. Using a pencil, make 4 evenly-spaced marks around the edge of the mirror.
  5. Lay out the thread spools on the mirror. NOTE: Adjust the spools for the best fit.
  6. Position the spools so that all the labels are pointing the same direction: inward or outward.
  7. Working with one spool at a time, carefully lift it and draw a bead of glue down one side of the spool and reposition it on the mirror.
  8. Glue the spools located at the quarter-marks first, then glue spools within each quadrant, spacing equally between spools. Allow glue to dry thoroughly.
  9. Turn the mirror over and glue the ribbon hanger in place, making ends at a slight angle for better hanging.
