UNICORN
SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun
- Wooden popsicle sticks
- Paint: glitter paint, white paint, black paint
- Pipe cleaners of various bright colors
- Small paint brushes
- Paint sponges
DIRECTIONS:
- Begin by lining up 6 wooden popsicle sticks next to one another
- Glue one stick horizontal towards the top and one stick horizontal towards the bottom to hold the 6 pieces in place. Trim edges of horizontal sticks to make level with the edges
- Allow time for glue to dry
- Paint entire surface white and allow to dry
- Using glitter paint, cover entire surface over top of white
- While allowing paint to dry, begin to cut 2-3 inch pieces from pipe cleaners
- Once paint is dry, layer with hot glue one row at a time and glue various colors of pipe cleaners on the top section of the wooden piece
- Using a small paint brush, draw simple eyes with eye lashes on the wooden piece
- Using pink pipe cleaner, create a nose by cutting two 1" pieces and folding each in half. Attach each piece using a hot glue gun
- To create the unicorn horn, overlap 2 popsicle sticks and glue on corners to create a point. Attach using a hot glue gun
- To create the ears, cut off edges of popsicle sticks and create a pointed edge; attach using a hot glue gun
- Hot glue popsicle stick to back of head.

- Scissors

- Wooden popsicle sticks
- Paint: bright orange, yellow, and green
- Pipe cleaners of various bright colors
- Small paint brushes
- Paint sponges
- Small craft eyes
- White Artist Tape
- Pencil or pen
DIRECTIONS:
- Begin by lining up 6 wooden popsicle sticks next to one another
- Glue one stick horizontal towards the top and one stick horizontal towards the bottom to hold the 6 pieces in place. Trim edges of horizontal sticks to make level with the edges
- Allow time for glue to dry
- Using orange, green, or yellow paint, cover entire surface of wooden piece
- Allow paint to completely dry
- Using a pen or pencil, begin wrapping pipe cleaner around pen/pencil to create a spiral
- Leave about 2 inches of pipe cleaner straight; repeat process until you have about 16 different spirals
- Once paint is dry, layer with hot glue one row at a time and glue pipe cleaner spirals on the top section of the wooden piece
- Glue small craft eyes below pipe cleaner
- Using white artist tape, tear a piece about 5-6 inches long; use scissors to cut jagged teeth shapes
- Attach artist tape about 1/2" below eyes; glue a wooden stick over the top part of artist tape
- Hot glue popsicle stick to back of head.
