SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Clear Christmas ornament with removable top
- Assorted Acrylic Paint: green, white, red
- Glitter
- Wooden skewer
- Styrofoam piece (any scrap piece around 2" thick)
- Marble
DIRECTIONS:
- Add dots of paint inside the bulb while rotating it so the paint gets to the sides and bottom and doesn't just pool in one spot.
- Add a marble to the ornament and spin around on the inside to cover with paint. The marble will cause the paints to swirl together. Place a skewer into the scrap foam standing upright. Place the ornament upside down on the skewer to dry and allow the excess paint to drip out of the ornament.
- Once dry add the top back to the ornament and display.
JOANN HACKS:
- If you swirl the paint around too much the paint will get muddy. If more paint is needed, add it as you go. You can experiment by adding one color, swirling it and then letting it dry before adding another or adding all colors at once. You will get different effects with each technique.
- Add a little glitter to add a little sparkle to the ornament.
