Some design element ideas
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The plastic hook needs to be made stronger right where it attaches to the 'wall plate'. Either add more plastic, or reinforce with metal. Also, there needs to be a space on the back that holds the extra tape so that you can find it when you need it!

Great concept, terrible performance
Initially I was a great fan of Command Hooks but that enthusiasm has been tempered by deteriorating performance. In the latest example I carefully cleaned the side of a wooden cabinet with rubbing alcohol, applied the medium-duty hook per the package instructions and dutifully waited over an hour. After waiting for the adhesive to cure I gently hung a thin cutting board on the hook. In less than 5 seconds the hook and the cutting board were on the floor. The adhesive strip completely gave way and lost contact with the cabinet. I am amazed at how poorly this product performed and would not have believed it if it had not happened right in front of me. Two stars to recognize that Command Hooks used to be reliable.

Worked well for me

When it came time to move out of my apartment, I followed the instructions to remove the hook and it came off without any problem or damage to the door.

I hope the "Holds 3lb" is true.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just bought them and installed them in the kitchen, near the sink, to hold my cutting boards. I hope the promise of holding up to 3 lb holds true. The hooks are the right size to hold my cutting boards. I also hope the moisture from the sink won't negatively effect the glue. I had another one for years, but the hook snapped.

Loved it till I saw my wintercoat on the floor &s
I bought a 2 pack of these. One to hold my winter coat and the other to hold my husbands. One day I came home from work saw the coats were on the floor. When I went to hang them back up I saw the hooks were peeling the paint off my wall. So next month when I move I will be told I'm not getting my security deposite back cause I have a hole in my paint.

Damaged my wall
The hook literally fell of my wall. It was hanging a thin, lightweight broom. Very disappointed is what these did to my wall. See pics.

Nails in the wall seems less damaging option
Bought these power strips to hang some light paintings in the living room. I would recommend to not use it on any painted surface as it took out chunks of paint when trying to remove the adhesive. Tonight a small painting that was up since August suddenly came tumbling down because the strip gave out. It unfortunately landed violently onto some glass lights underneath and now shattered glass is all over the living room floor. Thanks for this experience. Nails in the wall now seems less damaging... hehehe

very dissapointed
to be fair, I gave a 3 because past projects have turned out ok. But this is the result of using 5 hooks (3 or 5 lbs weight capacity each, not sure, threw package out) for a christmas garland weighing a total of 5 lbs. I used them to avoid the trouble of patching and painting tiny nail holes. Sigh....I just want others to be aware.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I punched a pack of eight was so disappointed you should advise people the the product dose not stick to alll surfaces I applied as directed clean the wall with alcohol and held four 10 second hang up a Xmas decoration three little plastic bells and they fell in 10 seconds soooo disappointed

Disappointing
I followed the instructions to a t. After the wait time, I placed only a light curtain rod on the two command hooks. They didn’t even last an hour. Disappointing and a complete waste of money.

2nd Product to Fail
I used these hooks and a the broom holder in my apartment. I followed the directions on both products when applying them to the wall and trying to remove them. Both products stripped the paint off of the walls. My landlord told my husband and I that we would have gotten our deposit back had the walls not have been damaged. My husband and I are clean people and move around due to the military. The whole point of these products are to protect your walls and they did anything BUT protect them. The product worked until it didn't. Against our better judgement, we decided to try them in our new apartment and go figure now they won't adhere to the wall period. We even bought new boxes of hooks. I think it's a clear sign to try another product.

Can't live without Command Hooks
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use Command Hooks all over the house in various sizes and weight capacities. We rent and don't want to put holes in pristine walls, and without Command Hooks we wouldn't be able to hang shelves, photos, etc. Even in the bathroom shower. I'm short and can't reach to get shampoo, soap, razor and there isn't a place to hang a loofah or washcloth. Command hooks to the rescue. They are easily removed and leave no damage to the surface where they were applied.

5+ years in a shower stall! Still going strong.

Great hooks

Be aware of the weight capacity as I used three pound hooks for an item that was exactly three pounds and after a few months, it fell off the wall. I would recommend going up to the next hook. But, no damage to wall. Definitely recommend.
