They loved it! They wanted to play with it several times a day. And I was amazed with the creative ideas they came up with for using it. First they made pizzas with all kinds of toppings. When they got tired of that, they used the toppings to play checkers, with the box as a board (they don't bother too much with rules, just move the pieces around). Then they enjoyed stacking the pieces up and knocking them down. They used the box to make a fort and thwart an "invasion." They turned over all the topping pieces and used them as a matching/concentration game. They turned the pieces into instruments for a percussion band. And they mixed the pizza game with their hamburger game and opened their own "restaurant." I especially liked the way the pizza pieces and toppings would velcro together, so it really seemed like you were slicing apart a single pizza, and the toppings didn't fall off when you picked up a slice. This game allowed the kids to use their imaginations and be creative, and it is virtually indestructible for little boys. I hope to buy more of Melissa and Doug's products in the future.
Date published: 2018-06-26

Rated 5 out of 5 by grandma jane from A pizza shop in her future My grandchildren love to pretend to cook and the pizza set is one of the favorites. We don't always have time to make pizza from scratch, so this is a nice toy to pull out when my daughter feels it's "Baking time!". (Pros) This toy is great for cooperative play as well as helps build language and counting skills. I have seen 3 children play in complete harmony when they are hosting a Pizza Party. We have never had a problem with the storage box. We use it to store the play dishes and the play knives. Our relatives who live in Assisted Living enjoy the Pizza too. They have limited dexterity and have commented that this was one of the few toys they could enjoy with the kids because they *can* grip the utensils and *can* pick up the pizza and toppings. (Con) I would like to see a wider variety of toppings. Maybe offer booster packs featuring an "All veggie" or "Meat lovers" option? My daughter wants chicken to be available as a topping.
Date published: 2012-02-21

Melissa & Doug Pizza Party Reviews - page 2

y_2019, m_7, d_17, h_7

bvseo_bulk, prod_bvrr, vn_bulk_2.0.12

cp_1, bvpage1

co_hasreviews, tv_0, tr_64

loc_en_US, sid_14411862, prod, sort_[SortEntry(order=RELEVANCE, direction=DESCENDING)]

clientName_joann

bvseo_sdk, dw_cartridge, 18.2.0, p_sdk_3.2.0

CLOUD, getReviews, 89ms

reviews, product
