SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 1/2 yd Mesh Fabric
  • 1 yd Cotton Cording
  • Basic sewing supplies

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Finished size: 10 1/2" x 14 1/2"
  2. Cut mesh fabric to 15". Fold the fabric over and cut the sides to 11 inches wide.
  3. Sewing with a 1/4-inch seam on wrong side of fabric, stitch along one of the 11-inch sides and up to the 15-inch open edge. Stop about 1.5 inches before you get to the top. Leave unstitched. Back stitch to secure.
  4. Still working on the wrong side of the fabric, turn in the raw edge a bit and then turn down to stitch a channel for the cording.
  5. Attach a safety pin to the end of the cording and thread through to the other side. Then turn down to stitch a channel for the cording.
  6. Thread the cord stop through both ends of the cording. Tie in a secure knot. Cut off the excess ends.
