Mini Neapolitan Ice Cream Cake

DESCRIPTION +

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Wilton® food-crafting supplies
    • Mini Springform Pan
    • 9" Angled Spatula
  • Favorite ice cream flavors, softened (chocolate, vanilla and strawberry used)
  • Cake plate
  • Chocolate wafers, crushed

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Make ice cream layers 1 day in advance. Spoon ½ cup of softened chocolate ice cream into bottom of mini springform pan. Use spatula to smooth ice cream. Allow to chill in freezer until firm, about 10 to 15 minutes. Spoon ½ cup of softened vanilla ice cream on top of chocolate ice cream in mini springform pan. Use spatula to smooth ice cream. Allow to chill in freezer until firm, about 10 to 15 minutes. Spoon ½ cup of softened strawberry ice cream on top of vanilla ice cream in mini springform pan. Use spatula to smooth ice cream. Allow to harden in freezer overnight.
  2. Decorate mini ice cream cake. Wrap pan with warm, wet towel for 1 to 2 minutes, or run a thin knife around edge to loosen. Carefully open side latch and remove pan side. Place ice cream cake on cake plate. Top with crushed chocolate wafers.
