Mixed Media Landscape Art with Diamond Dotz

Canvas

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• 20"x 24" canvas
• Acrylic paint in 4 colors
• Diamond Dotz in 4 colors to match paint
• Spray adhesive, optional
• Glue pen or Turbo Tacky glue with a small hole cut in applicator tip
• Diamond Dotz accessory Pack
• Color Cardstock
• Scrap Paper

DIRECTIONS:

1. Use template as a reference to create each layer.
2. Use the Diamond Dotz stylus and wax from the accessory kit to pick up and position the Diamond Dotz to the canvas. For an area that will have dotz densely applied, protect all parts of the canvas that aren’t being worked with scrap paper, and spray the dotz area with spray adhesive. Then you can quickly set down dotz without having to continually add glue. If using the spray adhesive method for adhering dotz over a large area, you may need to reapply the spray if it begins to lose its tackiness. When reapplying spray, make sure to use scrap paper to cover the already applied Diamond Dotz so that they do not lose their shine under a layer of dried glue.
3. For all areas, use the glue pen or tacky glue with a small opening (so that only a very small dab of glue comes out) and dab out a line of 10 or so dots at a time, apply dotz with the stylus, and then make another line of 10 or glue dots.
4. Continue for each color until your picture is complete.

Collaged Cardstock

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• 12 "x 12" Cardstock in 4 colors
• Diamond Dotz to 4 colors to match cardstock
• Spray Adhesive, optional
• Glue Pen or Turbo Tacky Glue with a small hole cut in applicator tip
• Diamond Dotz accessory pack
• Scrap paper

DIRECTIONS:

1. Cut the background cardstock to be 8 1/2"x 11".
2. Use template as a reference to create each layer.
3. Cut out each layer and adhere over the background cardstock.
4. Apply Diamond Dotz in the same way as the canvas directions.

JOANN HACKS:

• When filling a large area of color in with Diamond Dotz, you can fill it with consistently applied lines of dotz, or create a pattern with the dotz.
