SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- 1/4yd MLB fabric
- 1/4" elastic, 6"
- Scissors/rotary cutter, cutting mat, ruler
- Pencil
- Straight pins
- Safety pin
- Sewing machine
- Thread
DIRECTIONS:
- Scrunchie:
- Cut an 6"x 18" length of fabric. With right sides together, sew up the long side, and turn right-side out.
- Attach safety pin to one side of the 6" elastic, straight pin the other side to an opening of the fabric tube, and pull the safety pin through the fabric tube.
- Remove pins and sew ends of elastic together.
- Finally, turn in raw edge of one side of the fabric tube, insert other raw edge inside, and sew.
- Scrunchie tie:
- Cut a 5 "x 12" piece of fabric.
- Fold from bottom to top, right sides together.
- Fold again, from left to right.
- Draw a curve that is wide at the raw edge and narrows close to the fold.
- Cut out the shape, and unfold. It should resemble a bow.
- Fold in half lengthwise and sew, leaving an opening at the center.
- Clip around curves and pull right side out through the opening
- Sew opening.
- Tie bunny ear bow around the scrunchie.
