SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
DIRECTIONS:
JOANN HACKS:
- 1pkg of Model Magic clay (this will make 3 tabletop ghosts)
- China saucers of different sizes, 3"-6"
- Flat, sharp table knife
- Silicone mat
- Bubble wrap
- Masking tape
- Plastic straw
- Rolling pin
DIRECTIONS:
- Make little domes with the bubble wrap and hold them in place with masking tape. These will be the forms on which the clay ghosts will dry.
- Work the Model Magic with your hands to make it warm and release the air bubbles. Make a 4" ball and flatten it on the silicone mat. Use the rolling pin to roll out a 6" circle. Lay the plate on top of the clay and using the knife, trim off the excess clay. Gently lift the clay circle and while holding it up from underneath, curl the edges back and forth to make a waved skirt.
- Place the ghost on top on the bubble wrap dome and drape it over allowing the edges to touch the table surface. Take the straw and use the end of it to lightly drill out the eyes for the ghosts. You can stretch the eyes with the straw to make them bigger and oval. Let them dry overnight.
JOANN HACKS:
- You can use a cup of water and with your finger wet the clay and rub out any rough areas.

Ghostly Love It….
I love crafts with Model Magic. These are easy to make and you can find so many things to mold your ghost! First time users do need to know that Model Magic starts drying once it has air. So guard against having to much out and open at one time! We made a pumpkin along with our ghost, using the sides of the straw to make indentations marks for pumpkin texture. Thanks for the idea

Adorable Ghosts!
This is a simple and fun craft for adults and kids alike! Suggest adult help with little ones but teens could create this fun craft independently. Directions are very clear but need to be taken step by step. It's fun trying different objects beneath your ghosts too. Try a foil wrapped pickle stuck into a little ball of clay or a saltshaker with a cotton ball taped on top. After they dry, don't forget to carefully write your name and date inside with a permanent marker because they make a precious keepsake!
