Color-blocked Round Pouf (24"x 12")

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 2 yds Solid flannel fabric
  • 2 yds Patterned flannel fabric
  • Basic sewing supplies
  • Sewing machine
  • Thread
  • Poly-Fil “Biggie" bean bag filler (3 bags)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cut one 25" diameter circle out of both solid and patterned fabrics. Cut 77" of 7" wide strips (will have to piece) out of both solid and patterned fabrics. 1/2" seam allowance is included in these measurements.

  2. Sew solid 77" strip to patterned 77" strip right, long sides together. Leave a 7" hole for turning and stuffing. Press seam allowances open.
  3. Pin solid circle to long side of solid strip, right-sides together. Overlap excess and create a seam in 77" strip, creating a loop with same circumference of circle. Sew solid side of loop to circle, right-sides together.

  4. Repeat process for patterned side of pouf.
  5. Turn pouf right-side out and fill with bean bag filler.
  6. Hand sew turning hole closed.

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cut one 33" diameter circle out of both solid and patterned fabrics. Cut 101" of 10" wide strips (will have to piece) out of both solid and patterned fabrics. 1/2" seam allowance is included in these measurements.
  2. Sew solid 101" strip to patterned 101" strip right, long sides together. Leave a 7" hole for turning and stuffing. Press seam allowances open.
  3. Pin solid circle to long side of solid strip, right-sides together. Overlap excess and create a seam in 101" strip, creating a loop with same circumference of circle. Sew solid side of loop to circle, right-sides together.
  4. Repeat process for patterned side of pouf.
  5. Turn pouf right-side out and fill with bean bag filler.
  6. Hand sew turning hole closed.
