SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 3 Open Rose Spray Purple
  • 3 Purple Peony
  • 2 Ranunculus 5 heads Hot Purple
  • 3 Tweedia Spray Purple
  • 2 Heather Spray Purple
  • Floral tape
  • Wire Cutters
  • Hot glue gun/glue gun sticks
  • Purple Ribbon

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Remove most leaves from the Rose stems except for the one near the flower. Set greens aside. Gather the roses in a tapered pattern and tape them together using floral tape.
  2. Repeat the above step with the Peonies. Attach the Peonies to the Roses and tape together in the same location to begin to form a bouquet.
  3. Separate the Ranunculus stems and add each stem individually throughout the bouquet. Tape the stems to attach. Taping should be in the same location every time you add floral to the bouquet.
  4. Add full stems of Tweedia to the bouquet. Separate the clusters and work them into and throughout the bouquet. Trim any Tweedia that are too tall or do not fall in the proper place. Add stem length to the trimmed Tweedia (if necessary) and insert into the bouquet where needed. Trim the greenery off these stems and attach the floral stems to the bouquet using floral tape.
  5. Separate Heather spray into individual stems. Push the greenery up toward the flower and insert the Heather into the bouquet.
  6. When bouquet is full and designed, tape again all around to secure a nice finish. Use a dab of hot glue to secure the tape in place. Add a piece of ribbon around the area that the tape is located. Use hot glue to attach this ribbon to the bouquet.
  7. Cut a long strand of ribbon and tie that around the bouquet. Use a dab of hot glue to attach. Tie this ribbon in either a decorative bow or a simple knot to finish the ribbon. Cut the ends of the ribbon with a nice clean cut.

Joann Hacks:

  • If the stems are too short, add length to them by attaching a piece of stem from other floral. Tape the extra stem to the flower using floral tape.
  • Occasionally use a dab of hot glue to the floral tape to secure a tight grip throughout the bouquet-making process.
