DIRECTIONS:

STITCH EXPLANATIONS:
shell (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in indicated st.
V-st (Dc, ch 2, dc) in indicated st.
NOTES:
Blanket is worked in one piece in joined rnds in a circular ripple pattern.
The ripple pattern consists of 12 "points" and 12 "valleys". There is a space at each point and valley. The space at each point is formed by the ch-2 sp of a shell. The space at each valley is formed by skipping 2 sts. As rnds are worked, a shell is worked in the ch-2 sp at each point and 2 stitches (1 st on each side of the sp) are skipped at each valley.
After Rnd 3, the yarn color is changed on every other rnd.
BLANKET:
With A, ch 4; join with sl st in first ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1 (RS): Ch 3 (counts as dc), work 11 dc in ring; join with sl st in top of beg ch-3 - you will have 12 dc in this rnd.
Rnd 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc in this row and in all following rows), dc in same st as joining sl st, 2 dc in each st around; join with sl st in top of beg ch-3 - 24 dc.
Rnd 3: Ch 3, sk same st as joining sl st, *sk next st, V-st in next st; rep from * to last st, sk last st, dc in same st as joining sl st, ch 2; join with sl st in top of beg ch-3 (to join round and complete last V-st) - 12 V-sts. Fasten off A.
Rnd 4: From RS, draw up a loop of B in ch-2 sp of any V-st, ch 3, (dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in same ch-2 sp (first shell made), shell in ch-2 sp of each V-st around; join with sl st in top of beg ch-3 - 12 shells.
Rnd 5: Sl st in next st, ch 3 (counts as dc), *shell in next ch-2 sp, dc in next st, sk next 2 sts, dc in next st; rep from * to last ch-2 sp, shell in last ch-2 sp, dc in next st, sk last st; join with sl st in top of beg ch-3 - 12 shells and 24 dc (6 dc between ch-2 sps). Fasten off B.
Rnd 6: From RS, draw up a loop of A in 3rd dc of any shell (the dc immediately following the ch-2 sp), ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in next st, sk next 2 sts, dc in next 2 sts, shell in next ch-2 sp, *dc in next 2 sts, sk next 2 sts, dc in next 2 sts, shell in next ch-2 sp; rep from * around; join with sl st in top of beg ch-3 - 12 shells and 48 dc (4 dc along each side of 12 points).
Rnd 7: Ch 3 (counts as dc), sk next 2 sts, dc in next 3 sts, shell in next ch-2 sp, *dc in next 3 sts, sk next 2 sts, dc in next 3 sts, shell in next ch-2 sp; rep from * around, dc in last 2 sts; join with sl st in top of beg ch-3 - 12 shells and 72 dc (5 dc along each side of 12 points). Fasten off A.
Rnd 8: From RS, draw up a loop of B in 3rd dc of any shell, ch 3, *dc in each st to 1 st before sp where 2 sts were skipped in previous rnd, sk next 2 sts, dc in each st to next ch-2 sp, shell in ch-2 sp; rep from * around; join with sl st in top of beg ch-3 - 12 shells and 96 dc (6 dc along each side of 12 points).
Rnd 9: Ch 3 (counts as dc), *dc in each st to 1 st before sp where 2 sts were skipped, sk next 2 sts, dc in each st to next ch-2 sp, shell in ch-2 sp; rep from * around, dc in last 2 sts - 12 shells and 120 dc (7 dc along each side of 12 points). Fasten off B.
Rep Rnds 8 and 9 until you have 19 dc along each side of 12 points and continue to change yarn color every other rnd.
Last Rnd: From RS, draw up a loop of A in any ch-2 sp, ch 1, *3 sc in same ch-2 sp, sc in each st to 1 st before sp where 2 sts were skipped, sk next 2 sts, sc in each st to next ch-2 sp; rep from * around; join with sl st in first sc - 468 sc (18 sc along each side of 3-sc points). Fasten off.
