    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Thimble Ever I am a hand quilter and have tried every thimble out there. This one is the best one by far! It fits snugly on your finger and is very comfortable and durable. I can even thread my needle with it on. Love, Love, Love this thimble!

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not just for quilters I like having decent fingernails despite doing cross stitch and needlepoint on a daily basis. Metal thimbles don't let the nail breathe, so they dry out and become more likely to split or break. I tried the leather thimble with a metal inset, but found it awkward. With this leather thimble, my finger is protected and my nails can breathe. The only caveat is that the thimble does discolor over time which could affect your project of choice. I wish that this thimble was available in the store and not just online; if I hadn't tripped over it today I never would have known it was available from JoAnn.
