I'm impressed...
The black does make a black candle at about double the recommended usage (I used one block in 8.5oz.) It IS a purplish black, though. See pictures so you see what I mean. I also used the red and purple dye blocks at about the recommended amount. Again, see pictures. The red is definitely an orange-ish red, but red nonetheless. Anyway, I am honestly impressed at the colors. It's really good for craft store dye. It would be better if the black made that true, jet black that most of us are looking for, without using more than recommended. But I will likely buy again!

Love all of these!
The main colors I use are moss, purple, terra cotta, and black.
Moss is my top seller! It’s so gorgeous!
I use the purple to make two colors, a lilac and a lavender.
I love the Terra cotta but I have to use a good chunk to get a deeper color like the package.
The black works for me!
When the black is melted in the pot with the wax, yes it does appear like a dark purple, however I have had no issues with my candles!

Black is not black
I used the recommended amount of black and got medium blue. I used 3x the amount of recommended black and got dark blue. Don't waste your money.

Good for value buy messy
Very strong, off-putting smell and it's oily and dyes my fingers when using. I used the red dye, trying to get pink so the actual color was good, but other candle dyes ive used are just less hassle. As far as price goes I think they're fine, and the smell fades since you use so little of it, I just wish it wasn't so messy.

The color is much more pale than on the package
My picture will speak for itself. There is no way to get the color advertised in the package. The color on my soy candle is with using double the recommended amount per pound of wax.

Not black
Used as directed but the color is definitely not black. My first run turned lavender. I decide to use more than the required amount and it resulted in a standard purple. The product definitely works and easily melts, but this black color is inaccurate.
