Essential for any new seamstress!
Sewing is a family tradition, and for my 16th birthday my mom bought me my own set of tools that would last a lifetime. And now, 6 years later, this rotary cutter is still my go-to for everything (and i've never replaced the blade!) . When it comes to sewing, quality matters, and you'll never go wrong with OLFA. I'm also a huge fan of the red safety button, it's in the perfect place to naturally click on and off every time you use it.

Safety and ease of use!
I've used this 60mm cutter for years and depend on it. My hands aren't as strong as they once were but I can cut with this tool for a long stretch without tiring. I love the larger blade.
Since I am frequently clumsy, I appreciate the blade's retracting and not cutting something I don't mean to cut!
I've been so pleased with it from day one and always keep a fresh blade for a surprise project, but find I can use each blade for a really long time.

Love this 60mm rotary cutter
This ergonomic cutter is my favorite. With a new blade I can cut 10-12 layers of fabric. The locking safety feature is great. The ease of just grip to open blade and when you put it down and let go, the blade is closed.

Comfortable and safe!
Incredibly comfortable in your hand and the 60 mm blade allows for cutting multiple layers of fabric with ease. The blade automatically retracts and also has a locking feature. I use this rotary cutter several times a week!

Love the durability and ergonomics
Have used this 60mm Rotary cutter for 3 years now cutting up decommissioned FireHose into 4” x 6” rectangles for making my world famous Micarta for knife handles. Works flawlessly. Love it.

Doesn't cut with ease.
I couldn't cut a single layer at once. My husband could putting more strength. I ended up ordering a different one. I don't recommend at all.

You won't regret buying this!
I have two of these rotary cutters and I have probably used them about 100,000 times. I have an online business and these rotary cutters get heavy use cutting out our craft items. They are comfortable in your hand, glide smoothly and very safe. Don't buy any other brand! Olfa rotary cutters are the best. I'd give this one ten stars if I could.

Natural retraction
I cut a lot of fabric for a quilting group and I don’t always remember to retract my blade. With this rotary cutter the retraction is automatic each time you let go of the cutter.

I like it
It works great! I only gave it 4stars because I’ve only started using a rotary cutter and I don’t think I’m holding it correctly so sometimes it doesn’t cut completely but it works better then the first brand I used. I also like the lock button on it

I was disappointed. I wanted it to cut through 9 layers of fabric but as hard as I pushed it just didn't go through all the layers. Am I doing something wrong ? Should I have purchased a different rotary cutter ?

Don't waste your money
Totally disappointing purchase. Bought this to help me avoid pain in my arthritic hands while making masks. What a mistake! Blade kept "skipping" sections where it was applied, making for poor cutting which I then had to complete with a scissor. Couldn't just go back onto the missed areas with the blade. And yes, I had a NEW Olfa pad under the fabric, since I knew that such a pad is required with this type of instrument. Thank goodness that I had purchased it with a 40% coupon. Not worth the original outrageous price. Could not return since this was a Curbside Pick Up order, so can't go into the store. Too bad that I had not read ALL the online reviews, many which complained about the same problem that I experienced. Totally worthless to me. Using scissors which makes for slower cutting of fabric and has caused for swollen, painful fingers.

No Slippage
After using a comparable Fiskars rotary cutter for a couple of years I decided to switch to Olfa. With the Olfa, I longer need to use my entire body weight to press down on the blade to minimize slippage and force the blade through multiple layers of fabric. Much more ergonomic! I paired this product with the Gingher 4 " embroidery scissors, and I have everything I need: one for the long sweeping cuts and one for the notches and tiny curves.

This larger rotary cutter is excellent. It cuts easily through many layers of fabric and batting. The blade is super sharp and easy to change and the ergonomic design makes cutting easier on the hand and wrist. This is an excellent purchase and price (got it with 50% off).

What a concept.

Easy on thumbs
I love the design of the "squeeze handle" to release the blade. I have arthritis in my thumb which makes it painful to push/pull the release lever on other styles of rotary cutters. Plus I like the 60mm size for most of my quilting cutting. #sweepstakes
